Described as “Europe’s largest bass culture and dubstep festival”, 2015 will see the eighth edition of Outlook take place in its usual – though anything but ordinary – home of Fort Punta Christo near Pula.

Punta Christo is a wonderful fort from the 19th century located on a peninsula close to Pula and, as the official website says, “in the UK this place would be a national heritage site and there wouldn’t be chance of holding a festival of any kind within its walls. But we’re not in the UK and so we have the chance to create a festival venue unlike one you have ever seen.” Very true!

As such, the Fort is a truly spectacular venue for the Festival. Stages are erected in the main courtyard (where the majority of acts will perform) for a capacity of 2,000 and in “Mungo’s Courtyard” with a capacity of 1,200. Since 2012, there’s also a space called “The Clearing” which is large enough for 3,000 revellers. There’s also smaller areas such as “The Dungeon” and “Noah’s Ballroom” – a circular pit with a soundsystem – and many more spaces besides.

During the day, festival goers can have fun at parties on the beach by the festival campsite, as well as booking themselves onto the infamous boat parties which feature DJs, MCs and a bar. (Boat parties must be booked separately as they’re not included in the festival ticket price.)

This year’s line-up will include acts such as Run The Jewels, Wiley, Goldie, Shy FX, Kate Tempest and many, many more – check the festival website to see the full line-up.

For the last couple of years, Outlook has also hosted a very special opening night concert in the magical Roman amphitheatre, the Arena, in central Pula. 2015 will be no exception – held on 2nd September, the concert will feature Jurassic 5, Roni Size Reprazent (Live), Gentlemen’s Dub Club and Trojan Soundsystem.
